How does it work?

Who is the app suitable for?
Rescua is the perfect companion for hikers, ski tourers, mountain bikers, hunters, scouts, and anyone exploring nature who wants to ensure their safety. It also protects children, seniors with dementia, and solo travelers.
Are my data safe?
Of course! Your location can only be accessed by a authorized person based on a received call to 112. Otherwise, access is not possible. The data is encrypted, stored in accordance with GDPR, and not accessible to anyone without an official request.
Why should I use Rescua?
If you find yourself in danger or lost (e.g., an accident in nature, kidnapping, confusion), the regional center can gain access to your last recorded location through an official report and immediately forward it to rescuers.
What should I do if my child or family member goes missing?
Immediately call the police and inform them that the person has the Rescua app installed. Authorities will then be able to check the last known location.
Does the app track me all the time?
Yes, the app occasionally records your location without live display. The location is encrypted and not accessible to anyone unless there is an official request (e.g., from the police).
What about privacy?
- The location is not visible to you, parents, or developers.

How long is my data stored?
The location is recorded and automatically deleted after 14 days. Longer storage is not possible – which protects your privacy.
How does RESCUA work if I don't have a mobile signal?
Rescua uses advanced GPS technology. The location is saved even without a mobile network and sent as soon as the signal is restored.
Does the app work abroad?
Yes. The app works anywhere you have GPS signal and at least occasional mobile connectivity.
Can parents monitor their child?

Who has access to the data?
Only the regional rescue center has access, based on an official report (call to 112 or 113).
Can I choose who has access to my data?

What is the SOS function?
The app includes an SOS button that, when activated, sends an SMS to 112 and triggers a rapid response.
Does the app use a lot of battery?
